Martin was the Regional Customer Excellence Centre Facility Director for Croda and responsible for the design and build of the facility on Tom Pudding Way from the beginning which included selecting Goole as the chosen location. Martin worked for Croda for over 25 years. He began as a Process Operator and progressed through Supply Chain and Operations roles at the Rawcliffe Bridge site.
Prior to the development of the new site he was the departmental head for the supply chain and the production departments at Radcliffe Bridge and Thorne. Martin grew up in the village of Rawcliffe and attended Snaith Secondary School before joining the Royal Navy at 16. Prior to joining he worked for Glews Garage, Burgess Pet Foods and Pickles Waltham & Co.
Martin has also been involved in a number of local community forums and roles including being a former Chair of Governors at Rawcliffe Bridge Primary School, an Associate Membership program with Goole College and a Junior Football Coach with Snaith Juniors.
