Opportunity Goole – one of the eight strategic projects funded by Goole Town Deal – is hosting a drop-in event for local people as part of National Careers Week, which runs from 4 to 9 March.

The event will take place at Goole Library on Saturday 9 March, between 9.30am and 1pm, and is open to anyone over the age of 16 who’s looking for careers support and advice. It follows on from a hugely successful apprenticeship drop-in event held at the same venue last month.

Joe Hodgson, Promotions Co-ordinator for Opportunity Goole, said: “ We’d like to thank everyone who came along to our apprenticeships drop-in event last month. It was great to meet so many local people and start conversations about how they can take the next steps in their career development journey.

“As the last drop-in event was so successful, we’re going to be hosting another one at Goole Library to mark National Careers Week. We’ll be able to offer information and advice on everything from apprenticeships and training to  growing your business, starting your own business and personal development. Maybe you have an idea that could help you to start a new chapter in your life and you’d like to discuss it with someone? If so, do pop in and have an informal chat with our friendly team.

As one of the eight strategic projects that the Goole Town Deal Board chose to allocate funding to, the Opportunity Goole team helps local people to gain the knowledge and skills they need to secure employment and ensures that employers can recruit local people with the skill set that they’re looking for.
