Brew York, the growing York-based craft beer brewery, is hosting a jobs event in Goole this Friday, 7 November, where it will be presenting its plans for the historic Market Hall which is due to re-open in early 2026.

The venue has been the subject of a £4 million redevelopment project as part of the Goole Town Deal regeneration programme, which is now in its final stages.

The brewery, which announced it had won the tender to manage the Market Hall project back in July 2024, is working with Goole’s Job Centre Plus to present plans to residents and locals within the catchment area who are interested in the employment opportunities being created.

An immersive recruitment process is planned, where those applicants who may not initially have sufficient experience can attain relevant qualifications through Hull College, which will, in turn, guarantee an interview for one of numerous roles in hospitality and catering.

Speaking of the event, Brew York co-founder and Managing Director Wayne Smith commented: “The Goole Market Hall project is very exciting for us at Brew York and the expansion of our Brew+ concept. It’s a great opportunity for us and will be the first full realisation of what Brew+ represents; great beer, fantastic food and a variety of different events and entertainment.”

• The event is being held at the Mulberry House Job Centre Plus offices on North Street from 10am to 12 noon on Friday 7 November. As well as presentations from Brew York, the event will also be attended by Sir David Davis MP as well as representatives from Goole Jobs Centre Plus, Hull College, National Careers Service and East Riding of Yorkshire Council Adult Learning. The event is open to all.
